Location Central Park
If you stand with your back to the tram stop that is next to the NH hotel, and you look towards the new offices near the tracks, you will see the tram track disappear between two buildings, at the bottom, left around the corner. The right building is new, large, high and black: the WTC Utrecht. And the building on the left is a lot lower and a typical 1970s relic of concrete and gravel panels. In the middle you look up at the newest office: Central Park, where halfway, yes, in the centre of the building, you see a small park inside the building, where employees can relax during breaks.
Where the tram disappears between the buildings, and on the site of the black high WTC office, there used to be two of those 70’s concrete office buildings, just like the one on the left. Together they formed a long office wall that was decorated with three statues in front of the main entrances of these offices: the statues are called 'The Stronghold', 'The Journey' and 'The Meeting'. These sculptures have been given a new home in the new park avenue the Croeselaan. Why not go for a short walk and have a look?
